With years of experience supporting over 1,400 families in the UK, I now work closely with bereaved families and Funeral Directors in Cyprus. Creating bespoke funeral ceremonies which reflect the wishes, beliefs and cultural traditions of the life of the deceased and their families.
Each ceremony is unique – as unique as the person who has died, as unique as the life they lived.

About me
I found my vocation as a celebrant after two of my closest friends were diagnosed with terminal cancer. They asked me to help them plan their funerals as their families ‘Did not want to talk about it’. By doing this, many of the problems which families face at the time of death were taken away. The family did not need to worry or try to second guess what my friends would have wanted.
Having written and conducted these two ceremonies, I began to understand the importance of a ceremony that reflects the wishes and beliefs of the deceased and their family. I could see the comfort the families took from knowing that their loved ones’ wishes were followed and that the ceremonies were a true reflection of their lives and individual personalities.
Over time, people who attended the ceremonies asked if I could conduct funerals for their loved ones too. This led me to complete a rigorous training course with Civil Ceremonies Ltd. in 2010 leading to achieving a Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy from the National Open College Network. Since then, I have had the privilege of working with over 1400 families in the United Kingdom and across Cyprus, creating and delivering unique and bespoke ceremonies for families from every walk of life.
More and more people in the UK and Cyprus have grown tired of the ‘One size fits all’ funeral ceremony. I can only agree – every person is unique and deserves to be treated as such. My passion to make each ceremony an individual and a true reflection of the life, character and humour of the deceased has led me to the most heart-warming and rewarding career I could ever have imagined.
I never ceased to be amazed by the courage, strength and humility of the people I have worked with: Those who are planning a funeral following the loss of a loved one; and those individuals who are planning their own ceremonies. I am honoured to be part of helping them create meaningful, bespoke ceremonies honouring and celebrating life.
The one lesson I learned from listening to bereaved families and those suffering terminal illness is that life is short, precious and not a dress rehearsal. If you have a dream, you should follow it before it is too late.
