You may have been asked to speak at a funeral or memorial service of a friend or a family member. These tributes are one of the nicest ways through which a departed loved one can be honoured and remembered by those he or she left behind.
However, you may be unsure of what items should be included when writing a tribute. You may find it difficult to get your exact thoughts down on paper. You may find it difficult to condense all the memories and anecdotes you have been given. Don’t panic! By listening to your memories and thoughts I can write a tribute for you – or at the very least help with grammar, editing and phrasing.
Planning Your Own Funeral
The death of a loved one is a traumatic and stressful experience. To make life easier for your family and friends, why not plan your own funeral before you die? We can work together to make sure that your last wishes and requests are met. You can choose the readings, music and of course, contribute to the Eulogy.
On a practical note, when someone dies, those who are left have a monumental amount of things to deal with. It is a difficult time. As well as coping with their own grief, various tasks have to be completed. It is hard to think clearly about who to contact and what to do first.
I have created a very simple log that can be used as a memorandum for those dealing with your affairs. It encompasses everything which needs to be covered in the event of your death – from who your Solicitors and Executors are, right the way through to who your energy supplier is! It makes things so much simpler.
Celebration Of Life
I also offer ceremonies for individuals who want to be present, and indeed to be the centre of attention, at the last celebration of their lives. It is a time to honour and appreciate the living when they are near the end of their lives through age or illness. They want to enjoy their own funeral and the opportunity it gives them to see for the last time their friends, relatives, former colleagues, neighbours, teammates and those whose lives have touched theirs.
